Read With Me (Beginner Reading)

The Read With Me class is designed for children aged 4.5 to 6 years who are ready to begin reading simple sentences and early storybooks. This class helps children transition from decoding individual sounds and words to reading fluently with understanding.

Through guided reading sessions, phonics-based readers, picture-supported texts, and reading-aloud exercises, children develop fluency, vocabulary, and confidence. Our mentors support each child as they practice reading with expression, comprehension, and smooth pacing. Children also explore sight words, punctuation, and sentence patterns in a friendly, low-pressure setting.

With fun stories, interactive questions, and follow-up activities, this class helps nurture not only reading skills—but a lifelong love for books and storytelling.

Using colorful books, interactive reading time, and playful comprehension games, we nurture early literacy and help children fall in love with books. Whether your child is sounding out their first sentences or beginning to enjoy storytime independently, Read With Me opens the door to a world where reading becomes an exciting everyday skill.

When a child starts reading stories, they don’t just learn words — they learn to imagine, connect, and dream.

The Read With Me class is designed to help children aged 4.5 to 6 years build confidence in reading full sentences and beginner-level storybooks. It is the natural next step after your child has learned to blend and segment words.

In this class, children are gently guided from decoding words to reading short sentences with fluency and understanding. With a strong focus on phonics-based readers, sight words, sentence building, and reading aloud, each session helps your child grow into an independent, expressive reader.

Using fun stories, colorful visuals, and teacher-led reading time, we ensure that children enjoy what they read, understand what they say, and start forming a real relationship with language. Our goal is not just reading fluency—but also comprehension, vocabulary growth, and a love for books that lasts a lifetime.

To ensure your child gets the most out of our Sound Discovery sessions, here are a few simple things you’ll need to prepare before class:

🧸 1. A Quiet & Comfortable Space

Set up a small, distraction-free area where your child can sit and move comfortably. A soft mat or corner with cushions works great.

🎧 2. Good Internet & Audio Setup

Ensure a stable internet connection and use a device (tablet/laptop) with clear audio. Headphones are optional but helpful if your environment is noisy.

🧽 3. Simple Props & Sensory Items

Keep a few age-appropriate sensory items nearby for play-along activities. Suggested items:

  • Rattles or sound-making toys

  • Soft balls or textured fabrics

  • Small animal figurines or household objects that make gentle noise (bells, shakers)

A weekly prop list will be shared by your teacher before each class.

👩‍👧 4. Light Parental Support

A parent or guardian should be nearby (especially for children under 2.5 years) to help with transitions, manage materials, and encourage participation if needed.

📅 5. Consistent Attendance & Timing

Consistency helps build routine and confidence. Please be on time and try to attend each session to get the full benefit of the program.
