Letter Sounds & Rhymes

The Letter Sounds & Rhymes class is where early phonics truly comes to life! Tailored for children aged 2 to 3.5 years, this class introduces the exciting world of alphabet sounds through rhymes, music, actions, and storytelling. Children begin to associate letters with their corresponding sounds using catchy jingles and playful repetition, laying a strong foundation for early reading and speech development.

Each session is designed to be interactive and engaging, with activities like sound songs, rhythm-based games, and simple flashcard drills. By combining phonics instruction with movement and rhyme, children start to recognize letter shapes, repeat letter sounds, and develop their phonemic awareness naturally.

The class also focuses on boosting memory, listening skills, and verbal confidence, making it the perfect bridge between sound discovery and early word building.

With fun-filled repetition, storytelling, and visual aids, this class nurtures a love for letters and language. Children begin to confidently recognize letter sounds, join in rhymes, and respond to phonics cues—all while having fun. It’s the perfect class to support early speech development, sound awareness, and joyful language learning.

When a child sings a rhyme, they’re not just having fun — they’re unlocking the sounds that build their voice, their words, and their world.

The Sound Discovery Class is the very first step in your child’s phonics journey. Specially crafted for toddlers aged 1.5 to 2.5 years, this class creates a joyful and stimulating environment where children begin to recognize, enjoy, and respond to everyday sounds. Through playful repetition, music, toys, and movement, children naturally develop early listening and auditory skills, which are essential for future reading success.

Each session is filled with activities like sound imitation, nursery rhymes, instrument exploration, and playful interaction that encourage your child to listen attentively, respond confidently, and build early vocabulary. Our mentors gently guide the children using multi-sensory techniques that support brain development and help form sound-symbol connections over time.

Whether it’s the jingle of a bell or the rhythm of a rhyme, every sound becomes a moment of discovery. This class is not about memorizing—it’s about experiencing sound in a way that sparks joy, learning, and connection.

To ensure your child gets the most out of our Sound Discovery sessions, here are a few simple things you’ll need to prepare before class:

🧸 1. A Quiet & Comfortable Space

Set up a small, distraction-free area where your child can sit and move comfortably. A soft mat or corner with cushions works great.

🎧 2. Good Internet & Audio Setup

Ensure a stable internet connection and use a device (tablet/laptop) with clear audio. Headphones are optional but helpful if your environment is noisy.

🧽 3. Simple Props & Sensory Items

Keep a few age-appropriate sensory items nearby for play-along activities. Suggested items:

  • Rattles or sound-making toys

  • Soft balls or textured fabrics

  • Small animal figurines or household objects that make gentle noise (bells, shakers)

A weekly prop list will be shared by your teacher before each class.

👩‍👧 4. Light Parental Support

A parent or guardian should be nearby (especially for children under 2.5 years) to help with transitions, manage materials, and encourage participation if needed.

📅 5. Consistent Attendance & Timing

Consistency helps build routine and confidence. Please be on time and try to attend each session to get the full benefit of the program.
